Words from Within - Storytelling Edition We are a multitude of stories. When we create a space to say yes to ourselves, share a story about ourselves, have it be held in safety and celebration, we connect to each other in a deeper way and tap into a greater sense of humanity. How does it work: Whether you've prepared a story beforehand or want to spontaneously share, storytellers will drop their name in a hat for the chance to share their story. You're also welcome to join and listen, cry, laugh, or D all of the above for the evening. Here's what you need to know: - The story must be true. - The story must be from your own life. - The story must directly relate to the theme. - The story must be five minutes or less. Theme for the evening: Matters of the Heart - Was there a time you fell in love? Out of love? - Was there a time you experienced heart break? With a lover? A friend? A sentimental item or experience? - Whatever story pops into your mind about this theme, go for it! Tips for the telling of your story: - Don't over think it! It's supposed to be fun and inclusive. - Give yourself permission to take up space and tell the story. How did it change you? What did you learn? Describe it to us!
